This guide walks you through installing Storytime and playing your first session.

Requirements

• Minecraft 1.21.1
• NeoForge 21.1.229 or later
• Java 21

Installation

1. Download the Storytime .jar from your distribution source.
2. Place it in your instance's mods/ folder.
3. Launch the game. NeoForge will load the mod automatically.

No additional configuration is required for single-player. For server installs, place the .jar in the server's mods/ folder and restart — all connected clients must also have the mod installed.

First join

When you join a world for the first time, the character selection screen opens automatically. You must select a race before you can play.

Your race choice is permanent for that world. Once you confirm, the screen will not reopen.

Keybinds

You can change keybinds in Options → Controls → Storytime.
